The main building is impressive, towering over the compound with large wooden Javanese style entrance. A large screen TV with high class sound system make this living area complete. This is the center of the life of the villa. A sleek wooden stair adjacent to the dining area leads to the upper floor which consists of an open air mezzanine with alluring view to the surrounding greenery. Further, a small ‘bridge’ is connecting this area to a comfortable library studio.

The four bedrooms (all DBL beds) are set in two different buildings, two bedrooms are on the left and the other two bedrooms are on the right side of the compound. Similar in design, each bedroom is equipped with fine furniture and en-suite bathroom (bathtub, rain shower, hot & cold running water). Two bedrooms overlooking to the garden and to the pool, while two others overlooking the garden only. Three bedrooms are equipped with flat-screen TV for DVD movies. Ground & Pool

The lush outdoor space is featuring minimalist garden decorated with an antique wooden boat on its middle, divides the left and right wing of the property. A ‘T’ shaped pool (18 X 6 meters), with creamy palimanan stone, dominates the east part of the ground. Being a children friendly villa, a small shallow part of the pool is specially prepared for children. Pool chairs are provided on the wooden deck to relax on.

The very end of the ground is still riched with tall trees and is fringed with a small lower lawn suitable for BBQ or outdoor dining.

Staff

Villa Kita is supported by a carefully selected team of highly trained, friendly staff who will do their best to ensure that their guests experience a truly enjoyable stay in Bali. The team is headed by a villa manager who will oversee and coordinate the staff and property, and is available to assist guests during their stay. The team also includes a cook, 3 housekeepers, a gardener/pool attendant and security guards. The cook is trained in the preparation of both local and international cuisine, and is responsible for all the market shopping, in accordance with the needs and the whims of the guests.

Villa Batujimbar is located in the heart of Sanur, on the southeastern tip of Bali. This four suite beachfront estate is cocooned in the Batujimbar Estate, giving it a serene and magical atmosphere while being surrounded by world-class restaurants and local attractions. Immersed in a rich history and set on spacious grounds surrounded by outstanding Balinese paintings, stone carvings and wall murals, Villa Batujimbar is a historic inspiration. The estate was the realization of a dream by Donald Friend, considered one of Australia’s most important artists. Friend resided in Sanur for much of the 1960s and 1970s. Villa Batujimbar is a testimony to Friend’s strong interest in traditional Balinese architecture and its reinterpretation.
Sri Lankan Geoffrey Bawa, an internationally recognized prolific and influential architect helped bring Friend’s vision to life.

The overall concept was inspired by the nineteenth century palaces at Klungkung and Amlapura. In 1975, Bawa designed various additions to the house, including a large museum building to house Friend’s collection of Balinese artworks and artifacts as well as Friend’s own paintings. Made of Majapahit red brick and rectangular in shape, the museum is set formally in the center of the compound with a moat around it and a long pool in the front.

Following Friend’s departure from Bali, Adrian Zecha, the founder of the Aman resorts became the estate’s owner. Subsequently, Zecha’s in house designer, Ed Tuttle (designer of many award winning hotels) was called in to refurbish the estate. Tuttle’s renovation gave the estate a new organized look emphasizing clean lines and space.

The next owner, international entrepreneur Graeme Robertson faithfully restored the estate to capture lifestyle opulence with the addition of a tennis court, gym and an impressive collection of art for the museum. The estate is spread over 1 hectare of landscaped gardens and ponds and made up of a number of separate buildings following the design of Balinese compounds with the kitchen in the south, the temple in the north-east, and the main house in the west. Villa Batujimbar is located within the Batujimbar Estate, arguably Bali’s most exclusive district, in the center of Sanur. Traditionally a fishing village, Sanur is one of the few remaining Brahman kuasa villages in Bali controlled by members of the priestly caste. Among its many charms, Sanur boasts some of the most beautiful processions on the island, Bali’s only female keris dance and the island’s oldest stone inscription.

Sanur is steeped in history, with some of the earliest recorded writings in Bali emblazoned on a pillar known as the Prasanti Blanjong. The pillar dates back to AD 913 and is now kept in a temple in Blanjong village, located in the south of Sanur. The inscriptions detail the arrival of a Javanese King who came to Bali to teach Mahayana Buddhism.

Quiet and relatively laid back, Sanur still has the feeling of old Bali. Ancient temples can be found interspersed along the Sanur coast. Characterized by coral walled enclosures providing shelter to platform altars, this style of temple is unique to the Sanur coast.

Sanur makes a good base for exploring the island as it is served by a main dual-carriage road that passes inland and not along the beach itself. Travel to Ubud takes 30 minutes, Seminyak, 25 minutes, the airport, 20 minutes and Bali’s capital, Denpasar, 15 minutes.

An excellent center for families, nearby, but detached from the popular tourist areas of Bali. Ready access to the Jimbaran restaurant area and on the main road to Ubud, Sanur represents the entrance to the mountain kingdoms and conversely, the coastal playgrounds. General Description

On the land of 2,100 m2, the villa offers four bedrooms set in three aesthetic flair building accessible through a private road amid the rice field. Arriving in the parking area, a bridge crossing a clear fish pond leads to the fabulous living area set in the lower level. Spacious, elegant with white terrazzo stepping, minimalist in style this building is directly connected to the pool through steps going down the water. This air conditioned building can be open on all the sides with large sliding door and features four area Living, dinning, library, TV plus a large terrace in front of the pool. Connected by a short stepping, the right side building offers a colorful game room and TV, and three opulent bedrooms including two junior bedrooms and the master bedroom towards the end. Tidy, each bedroom is facing to the garden and the pool, with stylish en suited bathroom and dressing completed with the finest furniture and equipment.

On the left side of the living area the generous guest bedroom is featuring a study room which can be an additional bedroom, a large guest bedroom with a private terrace overlooking to the garden and the pool a dressing and a fully equipped indoor and outdoor bathroom. The staff quarter along with the well equipped kitchen is discreetly set on the back of this compound to give the best privacy to the guests. Enter through main gate, offering space to park two cars. Step up to enter villa through double doors into living and dining area, offering 180-degree views of Bali from east to west. Behind dining area is the fully equipped main kitchen with separate wine fridge, separate beer and water fridge, extra large main fridge, dishwasher, free standing stove and oven, microwave. Secondary wet kitchen is accessible through door from main kitchen. From dining and living area descend to garden and overflow lap pool, with pool deck and 4 deckchairs. From the garden you can access the emerald and ruby suites.

Access to the four air-conditioned bedrooms is from the dining area ascending a ramp to the first floor amethyst and sapphire suites or descending a ramp to the garden level emerald and ruby suites. The identically laid out master sapphire and emerald suites both feature fully marbled ensuite bathrooms with terrazzo bathtubs and walk-in closets. All bedrooms come with flat screen 21” TVs and DVD players, king-size bedrooms with mosquito nets, and wooden parquet floors. The bedrooms on the first floor have balconies with garden and island views.

From the dining area pass through sliding doors to a patio with the bale surrounded by a fish pond and offering great views over the island. From there, descend stairs to the fully air-conditioned media room and the fully private spa and massage room. The media room has a 43” TV and a library of DVDs as well as a stereo system. Located in the cosmopolitan district of Seminyak, Villa Satya is a fine example of tropical living at its very best.
